Wednesday we hung out at Mom's and got to see Brian, Sandy and the girls. Carson is infatuated with Uncle Brian! He loves hanging out with him at the farm and Payton feels like a "big girl" with Sid and Bai around!
We had a great Thanksgiving day...Mom outdid herself! The food was awesome and there were so many things to try! I couldn't fit everything I wanted on my plate! The day after Thanksgiving Mom, Sandy, Sidney, Bailey, Payton and I headed to St. Joe to do some Christmas shopping. We had a lot of fun and I think we are going to try to make it an annual thing!
Saturday was rest and relaxation after the big meal on Thursday and shopping all day on Friday and then we headed back home on Sunday morning. We stopped in Ames to have lunch with Aunt Martha, Great Grandpa Rickey and Mike's parents. We also got to play with tiny little lab puppies. They were SO cute! Payton really wanted to bring one home with us. We headed on to MN and got home about 5:30. I wished I had taken Monday off of work. I was SO tired!
I am very happy to say I had 90% of my Christmas shopping done by Dec 1st! I hate shopping in December. Everything is so busy and you can never find what you want! I am so excited for Christmas this year. Mostly because the kids are much more specific with what they want so it makes shopping for them very easy. I also think Aidan is going to be a ton of fun as well. As much as he enjoys getting into things he should love ripping into that paper!!
Aidan is walking (running) around like a little maniac! I LOVE his little personality. He will look right at us and jibber like he is really carrying on a conversation....so cute!
We learned some very exciting news for Carson last week. He had entered a coloring contest through Asgrow and he was one of only 10 winners! A rep from Asgrow will come to school and give each student in the school a box of crayons and then on top of that Carson's class will all get t-shirts as well. Carson is so excited and is now convinced that he is famous!
We had parent teacher conferences right before Thanksgiving. The kids got straight A's and we could not have been more proud. Both kids were giving reading tests that test how many words per minute they can read. The average for Carson's age was in the low 20's and he scored in the mid 40's for words per minute. Payton (drum roll please) read 120 words per minute...that is not a typo! We about fell out of our chairs. That is 2 words per second! Carson is a small little Math whiz! He blows me away!
We have started to get snow here. Today we probably got around 6 inches. I love how it looks when I am inside but I hate driving in it! Aidan hasn't gotten to go out and play in it yet b/c it has been too cold. I can't wait to see how he likes it!
Carson lost 2 more teeth and has 2 more loose ones! He cracks me up b/c he is such a whimp about it and then when it is out he brags about how easy it was! Funny kid!
Well, here are some pictures to catch you up on our lives! They are in very random order by the way!! Enjoy!
