It is about time we had some nice weather!! It is gorgeous today and the kids are finally able to play outside and not need long pants or shirts!
The kids are in the last week of swim lessons or June. Tomorrow they find ot if they passed or failed. I am actually thinking they won't pass this level but will take it again in July and should do fne. Payton has also been going to a volleyball clinic this week wich she loves!
We have been keeping busy in the evenings with Carson's baseball games, Payton's gymnastics and Mike and I playing golf. Carson has his last game tonight in Jackson. It is actually a make up game from last week when they got rained out. Payton has this week off for gymnastics.
We don't really have any plans for the4th. I think Mike will be working and it just kind of snuck up on us! We will head over to watch the parade and fireworks but other than that...not a lot going on. I am hoping to set up our pool....FINALLY!! It has just been too cold!
Last weekend we went to Family Fun Night in the park. Payton and Carson had fun tryin to hit rubber frogs on lilly pads while Aidan enjoyed riding the kiddie train! Payton also got her face painted and it turned out so cute!! Here are some pictures of our fun!

Summer has Arrived!
It is hard to believe that the kids have been out of school for a month now. Our summer schedule is very crazy so it is flying by!!
June has been insane! The first week of June Carson had a week long basketball camp and loved it! Basketball was my favorite sport in school so I am hoping one of my kids decides to play! Mike's sister and her two boys also came up and stayed with us for a few days. They were staying in IA with his parents visiting form Corpus Christi TX. We took the kids out in the boat and Payton and Carson both stood on the zip sled. We were so excited!! Last year they both got up on their knees but that was all the farther they would go! The kids had fun hanging out and playing with their cousins and were sad to see them go.
The next week it was Payton's turn for basketball camp. She also loved it! I got to sneak over one day and watch her at camp. She was so tiny next to some of the older girls! She did great though and I had so much fun watching!
The kids have also started swim lessons. We have had such crazy weather lately with cool temps and rain so they have not been able to go every day. I did get to watch them one day and they practiced jumping off the diving board. they both did it with someone in the water to catch them. I know they can do it on their own but they get so nervous!!
Next week Payton will have volleyball camp and she can hardly wait! The volleyball coach is the same teacher she had for 2nd grade (Mrs. Van Epps) and she loves, loves, loves her!
Payton is in gymnastics every Thursday evening and Carson plays soft toss baseball on Monday and Wednesday nights. Throw in my golf night on Wednesday nights and Mike's on Thursdays and you can see how full our calendars are!
Last weekend we had a wedding to go to in Spirit Lake. Mike's boss's daughter got married so we headed down to the reception. We took our kids and they had a blast! I could not control my laughter watching Aidan on the dance floor. he loves music and he gets so excited when he dances. He can't make up what dance move he wants to do so he does a mixture of all of them at the same time! We didn't leave until 11:30 and he was still up and going strong! We stayed at a hotel and went swimming the next morning. It was also Father's Day so we headed back home and the kids gave Mike the gifts they had made for him at school. We were all still tired from the night before so we all got to take naps! Aidan slept for four hours!!
We are in the process of planning Aidan's second birthday party. It is hard to believe he will be 2....part of it is hard because he is growing so fast and I feel like I am not keeping up....the other part is that we know he is our last baby and it is so hard to accept that we will not have the baby experiences again. It makes me want to hold on to all of these moments and slow them down...which is impossible!
Aidan's vocabulary is getting bigger every day. He really repeats a lot of what we say but you can't understand him that well. He has really started giving out kisses which I love....can't get enough of those!
We took Payton and Carson to the dentist on Monday. I was so proud b/c neither of them had every had a cavity. It was a rough appointment! Carson found out he had a few cavities and needed fillings. Payton ended up having to have 3 teeth pulled due to crowding and her new teeth not having room to come in. Payton was a trooper...never even needed tylenol! She was super stoked when the tooth fairy came and left her money but didn't take her teeth. Mike and I took Carson back today for his fillings. He was a little nervous but did really well... He and I went for ice cream after so he was excited!
That catches us up from the past few weeks! I hope you are all enjoying your summer!!

Carson's Birthday!!
I am a little late updating our blog! We had a busy weekend last weekend and packed several super fun things into only a few days!
On Saturday the five of us headed to Omaha and started our fun by going to the zoo! The kids had a blast and ran from exhibit to exhibit pointing and loving the beautiful weather! We were only able to hang out there for a few hours...we had to head to our hotel and get ready for the TAYLOR SWIFT concert!! I had gotten us tickets a few weeks before and the kids were so excited to go!
We freshened up and then headed to my friend Misty's house to drop Aidan off. She watched him so we didn't have to wrestle him at the concert! We got to the concert a little early and scored AMAZING parking!! It was a short walk to the Qwest center and LONG line at the souvinier shop! We had pretty good seats and loved the concert. Honestly, I had never been impressed with her live performances that I had seen on TV. I didn't think she sounded very good but she was amazing in concert! Payton was on the edge of her seat the entire time and I couldn't even get her to turn and look at me! She never took her eyes off the show. We absolutely go back and see her! When we were done we headed back to get Aidan and then to bed!
The hotel we stayed at had a water park in it so we headed down as soon as they opened and had a blast! Aidan wasn't too sure of it at first but he warmed up very quickly. He was getting so tired and ended up falling asleep and took a nap while I held him. We haven't done that in a long time!
Sunday night we headed back to Misty's house. She invited us over for a BBQ. We had a lot of fun and had some yummy food!! We ended up calling it an early night because the kids were just plain worn out!
We were hoping to sleep in the next day but the kids were up pretty early. Monday was Carson's 7th birthday! He was a little bummed because he didn't think he was going to have fun on his special day b/c we were heading home. We had to quickly change his mind! First, we headed down to the pool and swam for a little bit before checking out. We went to Cabellas and let Carson pick out a new pair of Keen sandals / shoes. He has been wanting them for a while but we had not been able to get them in his size. He got a really cute pair and a new t-shirt.
Aidan was starting to get really tired and fell asleep in the car on the way to Chuck E Cheese. We put him in the stroller and he slept through the entire visit there! Carson and Payton had a blast. We got them over 200 tokens and they collected their prize tickets and chose a ton of "fun" toys to bring home! We were there for over two hours!
It was time to head back to Minnesota...the kids had a nice nap on the way home. It took forever to unpack the car -- thank you Mike! :)
Carson will be having his birthday party this coming weekend so I will have more pictures then!
