Wow! I can't believe how much time has passed since my last post! There has been so much going on...I don't know how far back to go! :)
What have we been up to?
Payton:
Payton has been perfecting her gymnastics routines for her competition and performances coming in January. She has everything memorized and is just working on the details now. She is also in dance and has been working hard on remembering her new moves. She is loving it and the fact that she loves the girls we ride-share with! Payton is loving 3rd grade and it amazes me how much things have changed since last year. There are some things that she has outgrown and it makes me sad.... (bows in her hair...cute princess socks etc). I do look forward to the next stages for her but am sad that there are some things I will never be able to do as a mother again (put pigtails in her hair, give her baths, etc).
Carson:
Let's get ready to wrestle!!! Wrestling season is here and we are busy, busy busy with meets! So far he has gone to four meets and placed second in all of them. I am impressed at how much he has improved since last year. I still get very nervous before he starts a match and sit on the edge of my seat the entire time until the match is done! Last weekend we went to a state qualifier tournament. If you place first or second you are automatically eligible to wrestle at state. Carson took home the second place medal so we will be headed back to Rochester for the state tourney in March. It is one of the hi-lights of the season for us and I am very excited to go again!
Aidan:
Wow...where do I begin??? he is growing so quickly and learning so many new things. He is so much fun and I love the anticipation of what is going to come out of his mouth next! He cracks me up with all of his new words and the way he uses them in a sentence. Such a little man! He loves to dance to music, play with Payton and Carson and snuggle with our new kitten Brownie.
We are getting ready for Christmas here. I have almost all of my shopping done w/ the exception of a few things. Our tree has been redecorated a few times since Brownie likes to play with the ornaments and Aidan thinks it is fun to put her on the tree branches. It was really pretty the day I put it up...it is now reminding me of the Charlie Brown tree. As long as there are gifts under it I don't think our kids will care what it looks like!
Mike's Aunt Mary bought Aidan the book and elf "Elf on a shelf". If you have younger kids I strongly recommend this set. Our kids can't wait to get up in the morning and see where our elf is. They have named him Chris. I often catch Carson talking to him and telling him about his day. It is pretty funny....when we first got it, Carson told me he didn't know if it was real or not but he was going to be good just in case!
Here are some pictures to catch you up on our family: These are very random! I will try to be better about posting! :)
Meet Brownie...she is the newest member of our family. We will be very excited when we can have her claws removed...until then we are living with all of the scratching. She is pretty cute so it isn't too hard to tolerate...as you can see...she is very loved but us all!
Halloween -- cutest dragon I have ever seen!!
Supergirl, dear dragon and Beyblade
Payton at the Veteran's Day Program -- I couldn't get any pics of Carson b/c of where he was standing. :(
Christmas Tree Photos -- :)
The shirt Carson is wearing is one he earned last year for wrestling over 40 matches. These aren't easy to get and not very many wrestlers get their names on the back!!
So hard to get a good pic on front of the tree!!
