Our Life in Words...: Christmas is Coming!

I am so excited that the week of Christmas is finally here. I think I get as excited as the kids do when it comes to opening presents. I also love the week of Christmas because I take vacation and just hang out with the family. We usually have pajamma days every day and they get to stay here and play with their new toys. My favorite week of the year!

We continue to be busy and the kids' activities keeps us on our toes! Last Wednesday the kids had their concert at school. The theme was about Santa taking a tropical vacation so they got to wear shorts / flip flops. They thought that was pretty cool! I didn't get to see Payton very well because I was on the opposite side of where she was. I did sit right in front of Carson and laughed the whole time! He really got into singing his songs and doing all of the actions. I had tears at one point b/c I was laughing so hard. I hope I always remember these things....way too cute!

Carson is losing all of his teeth at once! He is missing 4 of his front teeth and I love his toothless smile! I think he is good for a while. Payton has some loose ones but isn't ready to pull them yet...

I pick the kids up at school every day. On Thursday when I picked Payton up I could tell right away something was wrong. She was very pale. As soon as we got in the car she started crying and told me her throat hurt and she had a headache. We got home about 3:45 and she went straight to her room, put on PJ's and was in bed for the night. I stayed home with her on Friday and I could tell she was feeling a little better by Friday night. I kept her home from gymnastics on Saturday morning and by Sunday she was feeling much better. She still has a sore throat but it gets better w/ each day.

Sunday morning we had a wrestling tournament for Carson. Mike's mom and dad were able to make it up and watch him. He did really well and got 2nd place! He got his first pin of the season and we were pretty proud!

Aidan started out with having pink eye in both eyes. We finally got that cleared up and then you could tell he was getting a little cold. His nose was really runny and he was cranky. Mike ended up staying home with him today and took him in to the doctor. Turns out he has an ear infection. We got him some medicine and are hoping is is better by tomorrow so he can go to daycare and we can both go back to work.

When I got home today I could tell my throat was getting a little sore. As I type this I can feel myself getting worse and worse. My nose is runny, my body achy and throat is really sore. I am hoping I can kick this cold before Christmas! I just want a healthy house!!

We have been getting a lot of snow lately too. Payton and Carson love sledding in it and running through it. We got a few more inches today and due to the winds that came with it, our kids got out of school early. They are still at the age where they are bummed when school is out early. I am sure that will soon change!
