Productive Day

Wow! Today has actually turned out to be quite productive. This morning we all went to Spirit Lake for some grocery shopping. Pretty shortly the kids will be home with me all day and I needed to prepare for that. Plus I wanted to buy some things to make ahead and freeze. I have never done this before but have always wanted to try it.

We got home in time for lunch and all four of us laid down for naps after. When I got up I headed to the kitchen to start making some meals to freeze. Mike took the kids outside and hand-washed the Outlook. I can’t believe how much food I got done in such a little amount of time. We have a lasagna, baked spaghetti, tator tot casserole and tuna casserole all done and in the freezer. If anyone has any other ideas for freezer meals, please send to me as I think I am going to like doing this!

Mike and the kids went for a bike ride when they were done with the car and they are still not back yet. Both kids are riding with no training wheels now and it is fun to watch as they take off down the street. It is like a daddy duck and his ducklings following. Plus it is great exercise and the kids love it!

I did get some disturbing news today and ask that all who read this say a prayer for my friend Cyndi’s 6 year old son. They found out yesterday that he has some form of cancer but are not yet certain what kind. He is gong through some testing right now and they will know more later. I used to work with Cyndi when I first started my job at Accent. Payton then went to pre-school with Danny at Immanuel 2 years ago. Please pray for God’s healing hand and comfort for the family.

I will end here and hopefully we will soon have a new member of our family. I am sure no one wants this more than Mike as I seem to be a bit grouchy lately!
