We celebrated the little Aidan monster's 2nd birthday at the end of July. It is hard to believe he is 2 and so independent! We went to the water park in Spirit Lake and my friend Jan and her daughter Ellie came with us. The kids had a great time and plenty of water!
We enjoyed a lot of time in our pool and the kids have great tans to prove it! Both Payton and Carson passed their level 2 swim lessons and are now in level 3. I can remember when they didn't even want to get their heads near the water and now they are little fish!
The kids are back in school which is REALLY hard to believe! They both really like their teachers and are glad to be back in the swing of things and hanging out with their friends.
Last weekend we headed to the cities to go to a Twins game with Mike's family. Everyone had fun and got to enjoy LOTS of snacks at the game. Aidan took over everyone's popcorn and we let him! Carson was excited to spend more time with his baby cousin Grace. He LOVES her so much. It is so funny to see rough and tumble Carson be so gentle with a baby. She is super cute and has the blue-est eyes!
We are very excited about our vacation next year. We booked a trip to Disney World over Easter. The kids are really excited! I wanted to tell them in a very creative way so I made a little scavenger hunt and left them clues as a near by lake. They had to walk around and find the clues and put them all together. It was fun and they had a blast! We will be staying in Disneyworld and will be there 7 days. I think I might be more excited than they are!
Payton found out this fall she will be part of the competition gymnastics team. It is the very first level but she is SO excited. She gets to have a team leo and warm up and I think I will have to fight her so she won't sleep in it when we get it!
The week before school started Mike and I took a vacation day and hung out with Payton and Carson. We took them golfing and they played 9 holes with us scoring a 108 and 111. Not too bad for their 2nd round of 9 holes ever! After that we had lunch at the taco house in spirit lake and then headed to Arnold's Park for the afternoon. We had a blast with them and enjoyed time with them before our schedules get crazy again!!
