We continue to be busy with wrestling. 2 weekends ago we traveled to Luvurne on Friday night where Carson secured a 2nd place medal. Then we went to Truman on Saturday and let’s just say it was a GREAT day! Carson wrestled 3 matches and pinned all 3 kids! He got a 1st place trophy and a t-shirt that said champion on the back. We was walking 10 feet tall by the time we left! Mike and I were so proud of him and equally as excited!
Payton will be participating in Jump Rope for Heart for the American Heart Association. She was able to raise $125 for the cause. Thank you so much to our friends and family for your donations! She is very excited for the 10th when she will be doing her jump roping!
Last Friday was sledding day at the school. The kids got to bring in their sleds and each class took turns going outside for an hour and sledding. I am in PTO and we sponsored hot chocolate for the kiddos when they came in. I love volunteering like that! The kids are so excited to see the parents at school and it is very rewarding.
Carson wrestled last weekend in Springfield and was supposed to wrestle in Albert Lea on Sunday. Unfortunately he got sick on Saturday night. I was also getting sick w/ a cold so Mike was up with him all night. I guess he got sick about once per hour throughout the night. We cancelled our wrestling on Sunday which was a bummer b/c grandma and papa Amundson were going to come and bring our cousin Seth. Carson cried when he realized he wasn’t going to see Seth. Hopefully we will have another meet somewhat close that will work for family to come and watch.
We also had some great news last week. It looks like Mike, myself and all 3 kids will be traveling to Washington DC at the end of March. Mike earned a trip through his company and they will be flying all of us there. We are very excited and Payton is ecstatic that she might be able to go to Obama’s house. She LOVES him and wants to take her camera in case she gets to see him. I went online and ordered a baby carrier for Aidan. I am hoping it will work for the walking around we will be doing. I ordered an ergo baby carrier. If anyone knows anything about these and has any suggestions, please let me know. We thought it would be easier to transport him this way versus taking a stroller with us everywhere. We will see!
I got Aidan’s 6 month pictures back last week. They turned out so cute. It is hard to believe our little man is 6 months old! He officially has 6 teeth (4 on top and 2 on the bottom). He will be chewing steak by the time he is 1!
Well, that is all for now. Let’s all hope we are done with snow for a while!!
