Aidan is adjusting to daycare very well. It must really tire him out because he goes to bed around 5 and we are sometimes waking him at 6 the next morning for his bottle! What a good little sleeper we have!
There has been so much going on so I will just give it a run through!
Halloween:
Halloween was very fun! Payton and Carson loved going door to door and begging for candy. They even asked us to stay in the car b/c they wanted to do it on their own! Aidan was a dear and slept through most of the night. We still dressed him as a cute little puppy but he only made it to one house before falling asleep. Mike and I alternated driving / staying in the car w/ Aidan while the other person walked with the older kids.
Dance / Gymnastics:
Payton is going to dance and gymnastics one a week. It is hard to believe that her gold medal performance for gymnastics is only weeks away! We had a gymnastics floor routine clinic last night from 6:00 – 7:00. I took Payton and Mike stayed with the boys. She knows her floor routine really well and does amazing at her tumbling passes. She also has her beam routine memorized and it sounds like she will attempt a cartwheel on the beam this year. Last year she did a round-off dismount but this will all be done on the beam. EEK!
Wrestling:
Carson went to a wrestling clinic a few weeks ago and really enjoyed it. We signed him up to wrestle this fall. He will practice every Tuesday and Thursday through March. I hope he continues to enjoy it and we will see if this is something he really wants to continue. I can’t wait to see him in his little singlet and wrestling shoes!
Accelerated Reader:
Payton has done the accelerated reader program since last year but I am amazed at how well she has done. They needed to have 10 books read and be tested on them. If she got 100% on all of her quizzes then she would have 5 points. She ended up having almost 10 points at the end of first quarter. She had the top points for her class and earned a prize for that. She loves to read and is very good at it! I love listening to her sound out her words.
Aidan is still a healthy growing baby! He is pushing 16 pounds and is in 9 month clothing. YIKES! I love his chubby little legs/ arms. We recently had his 3 month pictures taken and they turned out so cute. We go to a place here in town and the photographer is amazing.
Payton and I will be going to Spirit Lake next weekend to a scrapbooking retreat. It is from Friday at noon until Sunday at noon. I will pick her up when school is out and we will head down. I am excited to have some girl bonding time. I have taken her one other time and we had a lot of fun. Mike will stay home with the boys and see what mischief they can get into!
Well, that is a quick run through of what we have been up to. We hope you all have a Happy Thanksgiving!
