We have had some crazy busy schedules! Payton started dance practice on a week ago Wednesday. I am very excited b/c I am car pooling with 2 other moms so I only have to drive to Jackson every 3rd Wednesday. I drove the first week and the girls were so cute! Payton loves riding with the girls too. Her dance recital will be in April this year so we will go to dance every week until then.
She got her music for her gymnastics routine and it is Kung Foo Fighting. She calls it Kung Foo Panda b/c it is in the movie. It is alot harder than last year's routine so we have started practicing and memorizing at home. We will be taking gymnastics pictures on Saturday.
Carson is taking a wrestling clinic to see if he wants to join this fall. It started last week so we went on Monday / Tuesday night, go again this Monday / Tuesday night and then again next Monday. If he goes all 5 days he gets a free t-shirt so he is pretty pumped! He actually does really well and understnds the concept. I have a feeling that will be his fall sport!
I had my first PTO meeting of the year and will continue to coordinate for the Box Tops for Education and Labels for Education. It amazes me the money this makes for our school. I strongly encourage everyone to save these. If you do not have a student to send them with, just drop them off at your local school. It is so appreciated and the easiest way for your schools to earn new things!
Last weekend we had Aidan's baptism. What a beautiful event! My mom and Darral, Mike's parents and his Godmother from California were all able to come. Sweet little Aidan slept through the entire thing! He did so great! It was a busy weekend for us as Payton had gymnastics on Saturday (same day as baptism) and the both Payton and Carson went to a bowling clinic here in Lakefield. They are learning the rules / techniques for bowling and both seem to love it!
Last week Payton was student of the week so I got to go to her classroom and read her favorite book to the class. We took Pinkalicious. Cute story and Payton loves it! I also volunteered in Carson's classroom on Wednesday. Myself and another Mom helped the teacher and the class make a Mrs. Humbug. The project turned out really cute! I was exhausted after my few hours there. I don't know how the teacher does it all day every day!
Payton and Carson were off of school yesterday and today for MEA weekend. We went to Sioux Falls yesterday for Carson's allergy appointment. I am excited to report he is off of one of his medicines and we are inching closer to being able to administer a shot once a month instead of a daily medicine. After his appointment we did some shopping and headed back home. It rained most of the day which was a downer. The kids and myself all got to nap on the way home while dear old dad drove us!
Hopefully I will be able to keep up with posts once I return to work. Between work, the kids' activities, homework, housework and meals...I am not sure if there will be any time!
