Friday afternoon Mike's parents came up and we headed to the elementary school for the presentation of crayons for Carson's school. He was SO excited! His class actually had gym right before the presentation so we got to watch him a little in gym first.
Monsanto did a little farm safety presentation first and then went on to his award. I was so proud of the little man! I did shed a few tears, but nothing to embarasing for him! :) He won a t-shirt, 2 boxes of crayons, a pen, cap and a cooler. Plus they are framing the picture he colored and framed a certificate as well. It all went really well and I couldn't have been more proud!
From there, Mike and I headed to Sioux Falls to see Rascall Flatts. What a great concert! We sat by a co-worker and his wife and had a blast! The next morning we got our things around and did a little shopping before coming back home. The guys went out do the "man stores" and Nikki and I went and looked at our girly things! The best part of the day was getting my new cell phone! I have hardly put it down since I got it! It will take forever to learn how to use everything on it!
We came home late Saturday afternoon and Mike's parents headed back to Ames. We got up on Sunday morning and headed out to a wrestling meet for Carson returning with a 4th place medal!
Whew! Today the kids didn't have school so Mike stayed home in the morning and then I left work a little early so he could go into work. We hung out here watching old bugs bunny cartoons. I was completely cracking up at Carson. He was laughing so hard at the cartoons....it was the deep belly laugh like kids do when they are being tickled! Too Funny!
This week is winter week at school. The kids get to wear PJ's to school tomorrow and then possibly sledding on Wednesday. It should be a fun week! Here are some pictures of our weekend....
